Dom Pedro Old course Golf Club

In the heart of Vilamoura lies the “Grande Dame” of Algarve golf courses, the Dom Pedro Old Course Golf Club in Portugal. As one of the first established designs in the region, Frank Pennink’s design enjoys a good reputation throughout the golf world.

Vale Do Lobo Royal Golf Course

Opened in 1997, the Royal Golf Course was designed by leading American golf architect Rocky Roquemore, based on the original drawings of Sir Henry Cotton. Recognized as one of Portugal’s most prestigious golf courses, its features include the almost island-like 9th green and the famous 16th, with a cliff-top carry, one of the most photographed holes in Europe.

Amendoeira Faldo Golf Course

Designed by Sir Nick Faldo, with strategic play in mind, this 6578m Par 72 golf course requires careful positioning in order to achieve good results. “The terrain at Amendoeira Golf Resort is stunning and the project has the potential to be a real hotspot in the Algarve, which, with so many golf courses in the region, is no easy task” – said Nick Faldo, during a visit in 2007.
